Hello! Kimberly Latta was born in California. She lived in Germany for three years as a child, when her father served in the US Army, and later studied in Tübingen and Hamburg for two years. She developed an interest in her family history early in life and is very glad she persuaded her paternal grandparents to write their memoirs. Her mother's parents were Norwegian. When she isn't doing genealogy, she paints, walks her Siberian Husky in the park, and works in the garden.
Featured Eurovision connections: Kimberly is 34 degrees from Agnetha Fältskog, 27 degrees from Anni-Frid Synni Reuß, 28 degrees from Corry Brokken, 22 degrees from Céline Dion, 27 degrees from Françoise Dorin, 29 degrees from France Gall, 31 degrees from Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, 29 degrees from Lill-Babs Svensson, 23 degrees from Olivia Newton-John, 36 degrees from Henriette Nanette Paërl, 35 degrees from Annie Schmidt and 18 degrees from Moira Kennedy on our single family tree. I received your email and apologize for not responding earlier. I am relatively new to Wikitree and don't know how to find your previous messages to me, or how to find the discussion in the forum.

I am currently engaged in the Profile Improvement Project, which has taken up quite a bit of my time and taught me a great deal. I have snatched time away from that endeavor to work on other profiles, including that of my third-great-grandfather, Francis Rolins, the progenitor of many of immigrants to America. When I perused the Wales project, I could not see how this work would contribute to the general goals of the project, and that is why I did not join. If you think that this sort of profile does further the interests of the Wales project and could recommend a team where it would be appreciated, please let me know.

I resent the Voyage letter to you via private message on 5 Nov as you asked. As I haven't heard from you, I'm concerned that you did not receive it this second time either. If you didn't and you are still interested in the Voyage, please send your email address by private message to me at Robin Shaules.
I sent you a private message on 10 Oct regarding the Profile Improvement Project Voyage. If you didn't receive it, please let me know and I'll try again.

At WikiTree, we aim to protect the privacy of all living individuals for their protection and in line with data protection legislation.
WikiTree has excellent privacy controls, but that won’t protect you and your family if you publish your personal information or the information of your living family members in your biography, Communications section, or on the profiles of others.
Since WikiTree is a public website, I suggest you remove references to dates, locations, or living individuals from your biography, communication section, or comments. You have exact dates and places that may put your security in danger.
For further information, see Privacy and Data Protection. For WikiTree’s Privacy Policy, see Privacy Policy.
Many thanks

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!
It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
