Elizabeth (Lanfear) Lawrence was born in England.

Elizabeth Ann Lanfear was born on 7 September 1860 and was baptised on 28 October 1860 at St. George's Church, Ramsgate, Kent^[1][2]. She was the daughter of Alfred Lanfear and Elizabeth Cooper.

On 6 April 1879 she married Shadrick William Lawrence in Ramsgate^[3]. Notice of their marriage was printed on page 3 of the Thanet Advertiser dated 12 April 1879:

Ramsgate—April 6, at the Congregational Church, by the Rev. H. J, Bevis, Shadrick William Lawrence, to Elizabeth Ann, youngest daughter of Mr. Alfred Lanfear, both of Ramsgate.^[4]

Children (if any) unknown.

In the 1881 England Census, Elizabeth Lawrence (aged 21) was recorded with her husband Shadrick Lawrence (21 and a Fishermen) as Lodgers in the household of William J Ansell (29) and his wife Emily Ansell (25) at Bethesda Street, Ramsgate, Kent.

Elizabeth Ann Lawrence probably passed away on 12 July 1898^[5], notice of her death being printed on page 5 of the East Kent Times and Mail dated 20 July 1898:

LAWRENCE.--July 12, at the Seaman's Infirmary, Ramsgate, Elizabeth Ann Lawrence, aged 39.^[6]
