Emma (Lanfear) Peacock was born in England.

Emma Eliza Lanfear was born on 18 January 1856 and was baptised on 24 February 1856 at St. George's, Ramsgate, Kent[1][2]. She was the daughter of Alfred Lanfear and Elizabeth Cooper.

On 16 September 1877 she married Harry Jerry Peacock (the son of Henry James Peacock) at the parish church in the parish of St. Peter's, Stepney, Middlesex, after Banns[3]. They were both of St. Peter, Stepney. The witnesses were Henry James Peacock and Levenia Peacock.

They went on to have six children, three of whom died young.
