The state of Maryland vs. OWEN LAYNE [from John Ozment] Layne, John Weatherly, and Richard Layne, Sr. acknowledge themselves bound to the State of Maryland in the sum of 2,000 pounds current money. The condition of the bond is such that should the aforementioned Layne appear before the next court to answer the charge of LEVYING WAR ON THE STATE OF MARYLAND then the bond shall be null and void

17 Oct 1832. ^[8] RW PENSION APPLICATION FOR OWEN LANE: He was born 1755 in Caroline Co, MD. After the war, he moved to Guilford Co, NC and then to Nashville, Davidson Co, TN.
