The daughter of John Lamb III and Martha (Thorpe) Lamb, Hannah Lamb was born in Schoharie Township, New York in 1803.[1] She married Ozias Smith (1805-1869), the son of John C. Smith and Nancy A. Durham, having three known children together:
They migrated west to the Michigan Territory, taking up residence first in Riga Township, in Lenawee County, and later settling in Saline Township, in Washtenaw County.[2][3] Her husband passed away in 1869; in 1870, Hannah Smith lived in the home of James and Caroline Bush, in Saline Township.[4] She is believed to have passed away there in 1879 and is most likely buried with her husband at Oakwood Cemetery in Saline, Michigan.[citation needed]
