They had 2 children:—
Jean Bernice (1911-1911)
Peter Bernard (1913-1943).
Joseph died at Gallipoli in 1915, aged 30 [30y 8m 13d].
Captain Lalor, who has been killed, was a son of the late Dr. Lalor, and a grandson of Peter Lalor M.L.A. (1827-1889) of Eureka Stockade fame. He had an extremely varied experience of life, having served in the Royal Navy, in the Foreign Legion of France, after which he fought through a South American revolution.
Wherever trouble and fighting were to be found Captain Lalor was to be found until he came to Australia and gained an appointment in the administrative and instructional staff, rising to the rank of captain before the war broke out. He went to the front as a company commander in the 12th Infantry Battalion. Captain Lalor recently married a niece of Dr. B. Loughrey, a well-known physician in Lower Hawthorn.
His wife is now in England with her only child.
