Biography

Rita was born on her grandfather's farm , on Aug 12 1921 at 70 Rue /Street Évangeline in Bouctouche, New Brunswick , Canada . Where the Bouctouche Community Centre is now . Claude-François Armand Lacenaire and grandmother Geneviéve LeBlanc . Her Godmother was Marie Arurore Germaine Lacenaire.

Rita was the daughter of Pierre Armand Lacenaire and Eugéine Girouard Rita went to Superior School Buctouche at 133 Main Steet . The post office stands there now at 133 Irving Blvd .Rita started working at the ago of sixteen as a maid for the Irving family of Bouctouche. My mother was twenty one when they had electricity put in the farm house in 1942 .

My mother would take the train from Bouctouche to Moncton , very often when she was a young lady , with her sisters Diana , Bella , Edna , Maire and borthers , Theophile , Charles , Joseph , Armand . Sometime with her dad Pierre. Then she went to Montreal Quebec to work at an aircraft company building airplanes for a few years, When she came back to Bouctouche , she went to work at the Palace Grill Restaurant on Main Street , Moncton , New Brunswick , for years.

Rita had her first cancer in 1958 in Boston Massachusetts and her second operation at age sixty . She died Nov 17 2014 , she lost her long battle with cancer.

Rita worked at Thayer Co. in Fitchburg with her sister Maria for a few years. She and Marie also had a family restaurant in Princeton ,Massachusetts United States . They were both very hard workers. She moved on May 30, 1956 , to Cleghorn Massachusetts, with her family . Her favorite song was Que Sera Sera by Doris Day she played that record a lot. She shopped at Tom's Food World in Cleghorn , Fitchburg , did her Christmas shopping in Leominster Massachusetts , She just loved Christmas all her life . She also collected S&P Green Stamps in Cleghorn , she fill many books for glassware . . Then in the in the late 60's , she moved back to Canada. Rent a house in Barachois next to the church, also rented 97 Gallagher Street in Shediac . Bouctouche, N . B. Canada . Rented 100 Chem de Couvent , Then brought a house at 6830 Mclntosh Hill , Bouctouche , Then bought a house at 201 Westbrook Circle and 90 Parkdale Drive , Moncton After moving back to Bouctouche she had two marriage proposals and tunned them down She liked to shop at Eaton's , Woolworths and Zellers and K-Mart Plaza , in Moncton , and also Irving's in Bouctouche . Later moved to Moncton , New Brunswick , Canada Rita was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
