Biography
August Krieger was born in Schalenposnick, Poland in August 1880. He married Mary Ernstling in about 1899. In 1910 August immigrated grom Volhynia, Russia to Jansen, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mary arrived in 1913 with their five children: Lydia, Ted, Roy, Carrie and Julia. Their son Bill was born in Esk. They farmed in the Jansen area until 1937 when they moved to Beausejour, Manitoba, because of the drought. August passed away in 1963 in Manitoba.
