Oliver Kitson was stillborn.

There is no official record for the existence of this person. Neither birth not death was registered.

The gender of this person is therefore in doubt.

However, the cause of death of the mother, Harriet Kitson, was given as "parturition 3 days" - that is, 3 days after giving birth. Therefore a child was born - this one.

Kitson Berry Berry-15055 left some notes in which he says "Harriet Bailey born c. 1840, died 8th Jan 1872 three days after giving birth to her third child; probably the Oliver who died in infancy that my mother told me about." This is tenuous, but it is the only information available about the gender or name of this person.

At that period, in Scotland every _live_ birth had to be registered, but stillbirths were not registered in Scotland. As this birth was not registered, it is presumed that the baby was dead when born. The actual date of death is not known. However, the concept that a person could die before being born is, perhaps, counter-intuitive. I have therefore put the dates of both birth and death as 3 days before the death of the mother.
