Biography

Elizabeth (Kind) Ginty was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

In 1871, Elizabeth Kind married John Joseph Ginty.[1]

She passed away in 1937.[2]

MRS. ELIZABETH GINTY.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ginty died on the 3rd inst. at Bream Street, Coogee, aged 86 years. She was attended by Rev. Fathers J. P. Gilbert, M.S.C., and E. Dignara, M.S.C. The latter administered the Last Sacraments. Born at Carcoar, she was also well known in the Canowindra and Forbes districts, and for the past 20 years had lived with her daughter Mrs. Pat O'Leary at Coogee. She is survived by seven children : Thomas Charles Ginty (Gulargambone), Mrs. Patrick Luis Veech (Coogee), Mrs. Jack Veech (Randwick), Mr. John Ginty (Gulargambone), Mrs. Pat O'Leary (Coogee), Edward Ginty (Gulargambone), Sister Mary St. Rose (Sisters of Charity, Concord). Her surviving sisters and brother are: Mrs. Greville (Melbourne), Miss Kind (Carcoar), Mrs. Stammers (Carcoar), Mrs. Leabeater (Lyndhurst), and Mr. John Kind (Carcoar). On Wednesday, 4th inst., Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Brigid's Church, Coogee, by Father Dignam, M.S.C. The Sisters of Charity and Our Lady's Nurses were among those present. After Mass the funeral was to Randwick Cemetery, where Father Gilbert, M.S.C, officiated. The chief mourners were the sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, Misses M. and B. Veech, Margaret Ginty and J. Veech (grand daughters), John Patrick (Jack) Ginty, Thomas Joseph Ginty and Pat O'Leary (grandsons); Mr. and Mrs. Carl Salter, Mr. and Mrs. Arche Salter, Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Ferrier (nieces and nephews). Wood, Coffill, Ltd., had charge of the funeral arrangements. — R.I.P.
