Hello Virgil,

I am Jackie Kilgroe... I'm one of 5 Kilgroe children of the late William Bruce Kilgroe. William was named after his Grandfather Bruce Kilgroe. My Grandfather is Edward Kilgroe who had a twin brother Fred Kilgroe. I believe my grandfather and his twin brother were bastard sons of Bruce Kilgroe. And is why we keep being left out of the family research from others who have contacted us trying to research Kilgroe ancestry. I have well documented oral history from my late Kilgroe family members and great pictures and birth, death and marriage certificates.

My grandmother from my mother's side is a Jackson.

The story of the twins Ed and Fred Kilgroe is an epic one if anyone is interested. They were literally the "Beverly Hillbillies" back in the 1930/40s. I am missing so much information. Including confirming that Ed and Freds mother (from what I can tell was 1/2 African American) was a descendent of the slaves of the Kilgroe Plantation
