Samuel Kenyon was born about 1752 in Charlestown, Kings, Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, son of Samuel Kenyon (~1728–1801) and Elizabeth Lewis (1726–1786).
He substituted for his brother, Jonathan, who was on "friendly order" opposed to the war. He served under Captain Amos Green, in Colonel Joseph Noyes' Regiment, Rhode Island.
Samuel died on March 18, 1821 in Charlestown, Washington, Rhode Island, United States, aged about 68.[1][2]
