Biography
William Keith is a member of Clan Keith.
William Keith, 6th Earl of Marischal (c. 1585–1635) was the eldest son of George Keith, 5th Earl of Marischal (1549/50–1623) and his wife, Margaret (d. 1598), who was the daughter of Alexander Home, 5th Lord Home.
On 12 October 1609 William was contracted to marry Lady Mary Erskine, daughter of John Erskine, Earl of Mar and his second wife, Lady Mary Stuart. William succeeded his father on 2 April 1623 as 5th Earl.
William died at Dunnottar on 28 October 1635, succeeded by his son William.
