I want to apologize for not being around. We have had a change in family, and genealogy is something that has had to go on the back burner. I will be trying to check in about once every month or two.
Hi ,

On behalf of the Connectors Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.

All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Michelle ~ Volunteer Coordinator

Hi Elizabeth,

I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

Many thanks for all your contributions,

Susie :-)

Hi Elizabeth,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

I will be offline and my profiles until 11/17/2018 for family emergency. I will try to get on before that, but the CA fires have impacted our family. If you have sourced information to add to any of the many profiles I have put up, please feel free to do it. Any duplicates or connections I will look at on the 17th. Thank you.
Hi Elizabeth,

Links to sources on paid subscription sites such as Ancestry, FindMyPast, and MyHeritage can be frustrating for WikiTree members and visitors without access to these sites. We recommend searching for a freely available copy of the source document on sites such as FamilySearch, USGenWeb, Archive.org, and HathiTrust. If the source record is only available to paid subscribers, when providing the URL please also extract as much information as possible, such as relevant names, dates, and the source of the original data. Providing the source as an inline reference within the biography also helps to clarify which biographical facts are supported by the source citation.

Family Search and Find a Grave are two of several free websites for finding sources: https://familysearch.org/search/

Hi Elizabeth,

How are you? I'm David a WikiTree Mentor. Thanks for adding profiles to WikiTree. There are reasons behind the eighth point in our Honor Code: "We cite sources. Without sources we can't objectively resolve conflicting information." A source provides a way to find out more about the person. Showing sources reduces confusion and duplicates.

Here is what our Sources help page says. It has lots of ideas: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources

The Sources Style Guide shows how to enter sources in the biography.

Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Glad I could help. I'm just happy I've gotten to the point where I can answer some questions instead of just asking them!

Hi Elizabeth

The Scotland Project is part of the umbrella UK Project. I've therefore added the UK project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on United Kingdom Project will take you the first page of the project. Scroll down to participants. I've added your good self and your Country of interest etc. I've also added you to the Scotland Project member interests page.

Thanks again for joining, enjoy and good luck with your research.

Elizabeth, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

The Connecticut Project seems to fit your Knapp ancestors. Leader is Anne B. Click the link to read how to join.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!

Mary ~ Pre-1700 Greeter

PS If "Page Not Found" error occurs in your email, check the comments on your page for this message.
