Biography

Elizabeth (Jones) Pring was born in Monmouthshire, Wales.

Elizabeth was born in 1864 jn Cross Keys in the Newport registration district of Monmouthshire, Wales. She was the daughter of Thomas Jones and Elizabeth Hooper.^[1]

In the 1871 census Elizabeth (age 7) was the daughter of Thomas Jones in Mynyddmaen, Mynyddislwyn, Monmouthshire, Wales.^[2]

In the 1881 census Elizabeth (age 14), Postman Dau, was the daughter of Thomas Jones in Llanblethian, Glamorgan, Wales.^[3]

Elizabeth married Albert Pring in 1885 at Pontypridd, Glamorganshire, Wales.^[4]

In 1891 Eliz was recorded as a 28 year old wife in the household of her husband 30 year old coal miner Albert at Turberville Row, Ystradyfodwg, Glamorganshire, Wales. Their children Clara A 5, and sons Thomas 4 and Albert 2 were also recorded in the household.^[5]

In 1901 Elizabeth and 2 of her young daughters were recorded in the household of her brother-in-law Edwin Maidment and sister Mary Ann at Ystrad-dyfodwg, Glamorgan, Wales.^[6]

In 1911 Elizabeth was recorded in the household of her 47 year old, colliery surface labourer husband Albert at Eglwysilan, Llanbradach, Glamorganshire, Wales. Their children Thomas 24, Albert 23, Archie 15, M A 18, Lizzie J 13, Edith E 11 and Daisy M 8 were also recorded in the household. Elizabeth's sister Mary Ann Maidment's son Edwin 25 was also recorded in the household as a boarder as was Walter Allerwell 20.^[7]

Elizabeth passed away in 1919 in the Cardiff registration district ^[8]and was buried at Caerphilly St. Martin, Glamorgan, Wales^[9]
