Mark (Johnson) Noble is Notable.

Mark Noble Johnson, later known as Mark Noble, was a character actor who was featured in films from 1916 to 1950. He and his brother George Perry Johnson, founded Lincoln Motion Picture Company.[1]

Birth and Family

Mark Noble was born in 1881.[2][3] Most US Census records list his place of birth as Colorado, other sources say Marshall, Missouri.

Marriage and Family

His wife's name was Gladys Mae, LNAB unknown.

Film Industry

An article in the Bloomington Herald Times, 2022-10-12, states that a splice of one of the earliest African American films made at the Lincoln Motion Picture Co. called "The Trooper of Troop K" created about 1916 has been discovered by I.U. Professor Cadoo. Noble Johnson , Jimmie Smith and Beulah Hall were actors in the film. This was verified by documents in the George P. Johnson Negro Film Collection, 1916-1977.

Death and Burial

He died in 1978.[4][5]
