Jehial Beman Jeffrey was born about 1837[1] in Monroe County[1], New York. He was the child[1][2] of Reverend Roswell D. Jeffrey and Sarah Gerry Beman, and the brother-in-law of suffragette Hester C. (Whitehurst) Jeffrey.
