It is unknown who Colijn Jacobsz's parents where, although based on the patronymic "Jacobsz" we know that the father of Colijn must have been named Jacob.
Colijn owned land since at least 1449.[1][2] He must have been an adult by then, being possibly born around 1425.
Records
A record from 1457 names Margriete as wife of Colijn Jacobsz. It also mentions her son Jan Willemsz, indicating she was a widow when Colijn married her.[3] She probably passed away in 1475, as two records containing information on inheritance were registered in that year.[4][5] Those same two records mention their children Jacob[4] and Alijt.[5]
