Henry Izard, b. in Carolina about 1717; d. 1749; Commissioner of Taxes, 1738; Member of the House of Representatives, I 742-1748; m. (firstly) 26th September, 1739, Margaret Johnson, d. 12th June, 1743; dau. of Col. Robert Johnson, Governor of South Carolina; m. (secondly) Charlotte Broughton, of Mulberry, who d. 10th August, 1801.
