Francis was the son of Samuel Iremonger/Ironmonger and Bridget Corderoy. He was baptised at Shaw, Berkshire on 17 June 1635.[1][2][3] The baptism record describes him as "of Donnington Priory" in Berkshire; a transcript of a book on the parish church of Shaw gives the month of baptism as July.[4]
Francis is named in his father's 1643 will (proved in 1650), which left him £100 when he came of age.[5]
Francis married someone called Elizabeth, whose family origins are not known. Douglas Richardson does not give her first name, but it is evidenced by a 1722 lawsuit brought by her son-in-law John Collier.[6] He had two daughters, who are not named by Douglas Richardson.[1][2]
a daughter (called Jane on WikiTree as at 30 October 2023, with no sourcing for the first name) who married George Major(s)[1][2]
Francis patented land in Gloucester Co, Virginia on 21 August 1665.[1][2][3]
Francis died no later than 1722, when in the lawsuit mentioned above his son-in-law John Collier referred to Francis's wife Elizabeth as his executrix and as wife of William Barnett (Bernard), indicating that she had remarried.[6]
Research Notes
Daughter who married John Collier
Richardson does not give a first name for the daughter who married John Collier
in a family Bible that was owned by Charles Collier of Dallas, Texas, she is named as Elizabeth, said to have married John Collier-1368 on 3 February 1706, and described in the Bible as "Mrs Elizabeth Gaines, dau. of Francis Ironmonger, Esq." The last entry in the Bible is for the birth of a child in 1735 and the family information may have been written down in the first half of the 18th century.[7]

Can we add Ironmonger-70 to the children of Francis and Elizabeth Gains? Constance Ironmonger-70 appears as Elizabeth’s daughter on her profile page but not on her father Francis’ profile here.
I removed Elizabeth as mother of Constance as there is no source on either Constance's profile or this profile to prove any connection at all. Additionally, there's no proof that Elizabeth Gains married Francis Iremonger. Elizabeth Gains' profile should be detached as Francis' wife at some point (see Liz's comment below). The Magna Carta Project has this profile on our to-do list for re-review and we'll look into it at that time.
This would argue both for a daughter Elizabeth and against his wife being Elizabeth Gaines (or at least, not the mother of the Elizabeth who married John Collier).
I also attached the profile for Elizabeth Gai (Gains?) Ironmonger-97 as daughter of Francis and Elizabeth (Gains) Iremonger on nothing more than the information in the profiles (this one that a child was the wife of John Collier & Elizabeth being married to a John Collier (in WikiTree).
One concern... last record of Francis noted in this profile is 1665 & Elizabeth m John was born 1685.

Warning: Check the data. A mother's death date (Gains-19 died 1685) should not be before one of her children's birth dates (Ironmonger-70 born 1690) .
