Biography

Daniel Hynd was born in 1875. He is the son of Daniel Hynd and Janet McLaren. [1]
Daniel's marriage to Georgina Robertson was registered in 1898 in the St Clement district.[2]
Daniel Hynd served apprenticeships in both wood and metal working. He worked as a foundry mechanic then became a marine engineer and was also a warrant officer in the Royal Naval Reserve. Somewhere between 1901 and 1905 the family moved to Barry in Wales. During WW11 he was a night watchman at Barry Docks.
