Marie Gertrude est née le 20 mai 1677 à Québec, elle est la fille de Pierre Hudon dit Beaulieu et Marie Gobeil. Son baptème a eu lieu le 8 juillet, le parrain a été Jean Baptiste François Deschamps de la Bouteillerie, Seigneur de la la Rivière-Ouelle ^[1][2] et la marraine Marie Gertrude Macart, sa femme.

Le 4 juillet 1697 à Rivière-Ouelle, Pierre Fortin, âgé de 28 ans, épouse Marie Gertrude Hudon, âgée de 20 ans.
