Will, 1707

Original Will:

In the Name of God Amen the 22nd day of July
1707 I William Huckvale of Overnorton in the parrish of
Chippingnorton and County of Oxford Yeoman Being
Reasonable well in body and of sound and perfect mind and
Memory praised be god for the same yet calling to mind the
Certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time when it may
be Do Make this my Last Will and testament in form
And manner following viz first and principally I commit
My soul Into the hands of Allmighty god my creator having
Through the merrits of Jesus Christ my redeemer to recieve
A full pardon of all my sins and an inheritance with them
that are sanctified. And my Body to the earth from whence
It was taken to be buried at the discression of my Executrix
Hereafter named: And as touching such worldly goods as the
Lord in mercy hath lent me my will and meaning is that the
Same should be disposed and bestowed as by this my will
is hereafter expressed ffirst I do revoke and make void
All fformer wills by me made and appoint this my Last will
And testament Item I give and Bequeath unto my son David
Huckvale ten pounds to be paid to him three months After my
Decease: Item I give unto my son Davids son Jonathan
That part of newclose which I purchased of Robert Wheeler
If My son Jonathan shall refuse to pay them the summ
Of fforty pounds when he shall arive to the age of one and
Twenty years Item I give unto my daughter Mary Thorley
Ten pounds to be paid her four months after my decease
And to her daughter Mary Twenty pounds when she shal come
To the age of one and Twenty years Item I give and
And bequeath unto Mary my well beloved wife that part of
Household goods which belongs to me and three cows which she
Shall choose And I make her the whole and sole Executrix
Of this my Last Will and testament In witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year
ffirst Above Written
Sealed and delivered Wm Huckvale
