Research Notes

Elizabeth has two first cousins, William son of Samuel and William son of Jonathan. There is nothing I've found that definitively states which William she married. However, if we look at the marriage, there are three witnesses. William and Hannah Phillips are Elizabeth's siblings, which leaves Elizabeth Huckvale. William son of Samuel has a sister named Elizabeth, whereas William son of Jonathan does not. It's also worth noting that it looks like the same person signed Elizabeth's signature as witness and at her own marriage. Therefore, on the balance of probabilities, Willliam son of Samuel is the more likely to be her husband.
