Sheep Theft; Oxford Journal, December 1797

WHEREAS fome Perfon or Perfons did on
Wednefday Night the 27th or early on Thurfday
Morning the 28th of ths Inftant December, 1797, fteal
a FAT SHEEP from the Grounds belonging to Mr.
Jonathan Huckvale, of New Chalford, in the County of
Oxford, and which faid Sheep was his Property :-- Who-
ever will give information of the Offender or Offenders,
fhall, on Conviction, receive a Reward of Four Guineas
from Mr. J. Huckvale aforefaid.


Obituary - 'Oxford Journal, 29 May 1824

Tuesday se'nnight died, in the 73d year of
his age, Mr. Jomathan Huckvale, a very respect-
able farmer, of the Glyme Farm, Chipping
Norton; whose just and upright conduct gained
him the esteem of all his friends and acquiant-
ances, and will render his loss long and de-
servedly regretted.
