Catharine Houseman was born in Dacre, Yorkshire, England.

Catharine was born about 1807 and was baptised on 2 August 1807 at St Mary's church in Pateley Bridge^[1]. She was the daughter of Catharine Downes^[1][2] and William Houseman^[1][2]. Based on locations given in siblings documentation the family were living at Dacre, Yorkshire.

She died in 1808 and was buried at St Mary's in Pateley Bridge on 25 August 1808^[2].
