She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Hoover and Cordelia Atkinson.
Emma was the wife of Isaac William Culp — married 21 Jul 1901 in Bell, Texas, USA. Texas, County Marriages, 1817-1965 [2]. She was also the mother of Col. Oveta (Culp) Hobby, the first director of the Women's Army Corps [3]
Emma Elizabeth herself was quite an achiever! According to her obituary, she was a lawyer, politician, newsman, real estate dealer and preacher.[4]
