Friedrich Samuel Hoffmann was born on the 8th May 1878, the third child of Johann Gotthilf Friedrich Hoffman and Johanne Maria nee Heidrich. [1][2] [3]

Samuel married Auguste Elisabeth Haese on the 9th August 1911 in Rowland Flat, South Australia, Australia. [4][5]

Friedrich Samuel Hoffmann died on the 24th March 1945.[7][8] [9]His funeral was on the 26th March 1945 and he was interred in the Rowlands Flat Cemetery, Rowland Flat, South Australia. [10][2]

OBITUARY MR. S. HOFFMANN Mr Samuel Hoffmann, 66, of Rowlands Flat, died on Saturday after a lengthy illness. He had always lived at Rowlands Flat, having taken over the old Hoffmann property there. He was widely esteemed. Rev. Georg ministered at the funeral at Rowlands Flat on Monday. Left with Mrs Hoffmann (nee Auguste Haese) are Bob, Rowlands Flat; Lorna (Mrs L. Crafter) and Doreen (Mrs E. Nuske), both Adelaide; and Hartley (ex-AIF), Rowlands Flat. Brothers are Fred, Lyndoch; and Chas., Welland. Sisters: Mesdames R. Richter, Dulwich; W.1 Mahlo, Willianistown; Bert Menzel, Sandy Creek; T. Fiebig, Nuriootpa; J. Job, Hindmarsh; and Sister M. Hoffmann.[7]
