English: Age (97.8.12). Jean Blanckenberg, known researcher of Wynberg (she specializes in research on land), a few years ago called me from a storm that raged in 1822 in the Western Cape. A survey of the damage caused by the storm, were made and the documents have been preserved. She recently for my references to the sources given in this regard, and I did today then look er alia, the following two entries on basis damage in Franche angle L Zeberits - three gables cases - 2 of outbuilding and one of the Mool. C Mijer - a gable case of the shed. She mentioned that she also sources in hand which had detailed diagrams of farmyards appear - as she will find I pass on the relevant sources 1/19/125 STB contains information about a large fire on December 28, 1803 in Stellenbosch raged. There appears also returns the damage people suffered. There are returns for inter alia the following individuals Abraham Mechiel Ackermann Coenraad Engelbrecht Ackermann Josias Hoffman (a? B1c2) (father of Anne Marie HOFFMAN) Jacob Wiehaan Borghardt Ulkes Smit Willem Lamberts The residents could apply for interest-free loans to help them to get back on track. Information regarding the repayment of the loan for the period 1804-1834 is also available. Then she pointed to my 1 / STB 13/35 which covers the period 1762-1793. The tape contains dokterssertfikate and statements by citizens explaining why a particular citizen is not able to follow the re milite obligations. Here are excerpts from some of the documents (they are surely long enough that they died descendants I will not blame because I did not make the information public) The Chirurgyn Georg Carel Lodwyk Geering declared on 30.10.1769 regarding Jan le Roux Peters J (?) Soon 'come to me is complaining about pain in abdomen Sijn. So adds to denselven naukeurig gevisiteerd and found that the Selve eenen fraction hadde 'The Chirurgyn John van den Bosch on 12.14.1765 declaring 'that den farmer Jan Hendrik Venter subject to eene continuele jigt soo on hands and feet' (Greetings Daniel Jacobs dmjacobs@@absamail.co.za ; Bellville, Western Cape).
Afrikaans: Ouderdom: (97.8.12).
