Sydney, child of William Henry Hills & Selina Mace, was born on 21 January 1885 in Tasmania.[1][2] His father's occupation was given as miner. Information about his birth was provided to the registrar by his maternal grandmother Mary Mace.
Sydney married Temperance Knight in 1905 in Tasmania.[3]
