I am looking forward to working with you! I have sent you a PM. Dieter ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello Winfried,

I see that you've added some pre-1700 profiles without the required formatting and Primary Sources. The Biography and Sources sections are needed. Please review https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:New_Member_How-To, and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Germany_Project_Resources#Reliable_Sources.

If you need help with this, our G2G Forum is a great place to start. You can get there by clicking the link on the Help menu.

Hi Deb

Being on vacation for one week and will check your hint on 03.10.2023. Have made today an input of Maria Veronika Helling - 143 of birthday after 1670 - corresponding to research of Richard Schaffner from Kordel out of the family-book "Rosenkranzkönigin" ( 1635 until 1905 ) under Nr. 806 on page 206. Marriage to Philipp Karl Kroeschel took place in Klüsserath in 1713 without a clear documentation of day and month at KB.

Winfried,

I got your comment about changes made to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Kappes-49. I was just going through some profiles that were created by a GEDCOM import back in 2015. I am not related, and the person who created the profile is no longer a member. I would suggest that you put your notes into a = Research Notes = section so that others will see this.

Hi Matthias,

The team at WikiTree have merged your two accounts as requested and are working on fixing your account to be a full member.

Regarding your other question about the ancestry of Cordie-94. If you click on the edit tab of his profile, on the right-hand side will be the familial relationships. You can click the link to 'remove father' and 'remove mother'.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi Matthias,

Thanks for your note. Not quite sure I'm understanding your question. Do you mind rephrasing it?

Also, is this your original account? Heid-159 Please let me know so that the team can merge this profile into it for you!

Hi Winfried,

Welcome to the Germany project. We are glad you have joined us.

I think you can offer a lot of information and knowledge to the project. Is there are a region of Germany you are most interested in, or live in, where you could offer your knowledge by working with others?

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far?

Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful? Most of us still have some questions after reviewing them.

PS If you add some Tags, they are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag and links to resources. To get the best results, add separate tags for each surname and spelling variation of interest. You can have up to 20 in total.

Thanks Winfried for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches dates of profile, avoid abbreviations, add citations & links for sources to support the data. From wiki ID go to Research to find sources

The Germany Project would be of interest. Adding the tag GERMANY will connect you

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals & tasks of the project

Questions please ask
