By 1871, Sarah Maria had become a School Mistress. The household had moved to Wellington, Shropshire. Two servants, two assistants and nine pupils were a part of the household, and her mother was listed as a School Mistress, as well.[5]
Sarah and John Vine Milne were married 27 Aug 1878 at Saint John the Baptist with Saint Ann at Buxton, Derbyshire.[6]
In the couple's 1881 Mortimer Road, Hampstead, London, Middlesex household, they had their first two sons:[7]

Kenneth J Milne, b. 1880 Hampstead, Middlesex; subsequently, the last of their children was captured in the next (1891) census:
With that 1891 Hampstead, London census, we see the couple has established their own school, with an assistant, a governess, four servants, and nine students.[8]
Before the 1901 census, the Westgate on Sea, Kent location is established.[9][10] The family included their youngest returning son for the 1911 census, and finds the family located in Steeple Bumpstead, Essex, including two servants and one visitor as well.[11]
She died Dec 1921 at Cuckfield, Sussex,[12] while living with her husband at Burgess Hill.[9]
