Biography

Robina was born in 1895 in The Curran, Larne, County Antrim, Ireland, the daughter of Daniel Heddles, a sailor, and Margaret English.^[1]

During the 1901 Ireland Census, Robina (Age 5) was residing in a house 5 in Ballymoney (Islandmagee, Antrim) with her parents and siblings. ^[2][3]

Robina (Age 14) can be found residing in a house 7 in Ballymoney (Island Magee, Antrim) again with her parents and siblings.^[4][5]

On April 24th, 1916 Robina (recorded as "Rubina") married Alexande Steele in the Whitehead Presbyterian Church. Alexander was recorded as Full Age, a Bachelor, and a Grocer residing in Ballycarry and Rubina was recorded as Age 20 and a Spinster residing in Islandmagee. The witnesses were Samuel Steele and Martha Heddles. ^[6]

Robina passed away about November 20th, 1980 (Age 85). An official record cannot be found, yet. She is interred in Islandmagee New Cemetery (Plot#B1-B2) with her husband Alexander.^[7]
