Biography

DOROTHY HEALD, born at Groton, 25 Feb 1732/3^[1] daughter of Thomas Heald and Sarah Butterfield;^[2] Dorothy died at Westford, 23 May 1773;^[3] married at Westford, 23 May 1757,^[4] JOSEPH WRIGHT, born at Westford, 25 Sep 1736 son of Jacob and Abigail (Adams) Wright;^[5] Joseph died at Westford, 16 Apr 1813.^[6] Joseph married second Hannah Kemp on 8 Nov 1773.

Dorothy and Joseph resided in Westford where they kept a farm. Dorothy died two weeks after the birth of her sixth child. Their oldest child Joseph was killed at White Plains.

On 27 January 1793, Joseph Wright with his wife Hannah, in consideration of £90, conveyed to Abel Wright several tracts of property in Westford. On 23 January 1794, Joseph Wright yeoman of Westford, in consideration of twenty shillings, conveyed to Abel Wright of Westford a tract of land in northwest Westford with a small house.^[7]
