from her husband's biography:
- "March 1832, when 21 years of age, he was united in marriage to Jane Heacock. To this union were born three daughters: Emaline, now Mrs. Benj. Gaskill, of Nebraska; Angeline, Mrs. Webster Richards, of Nebraska; Jane, Mrs. Joshua Pollock, a widow, who lives in Missouri. [Jane] died in February, 1837, soon after the birth of her youngest daughter, with scarlet fever contracted from the doctor who attended her" p. 175.[1]
