Biography
Sarah was baptised on 5 January 1810. She was the daughter of William Heydon and Patience Penson. [1]
Sarah married on 13 October 1834 at Cherington Parish Church by License to Giles Edwards, A Farmer. Witnesses to the marriage were Richard Hayden and Elizabeth Hayden siblings of Sarah. [2]
They settled at Sundridge, Upland part, Kent and lived at Great Brook Place Farm. See Edwards-21100 for Census transcript
Sarah had 7 known children during her marriage, Sarah, Giles, Patience, Mary, Kate, Thomas and William Jackson.
Sarah was widowed in 1856. Giles left a Will and made a bequest to Sarah and Sarah's father/ brother? Richard Haydon was named Executor.
Sarah took over the running of the farm. At the time of the 1861 Census, she has two sons living at home, Joseph and William. She also employs a farm servant, William Diprose.
