Biography

Stanislaus Hayden born 7 February 1772 in St Mary's County, Maryland. He was the eldest son of Basil Hayden [Hayden-1116] & Henrietta Cole [Cole-11573]. Died 4 December 1839 in Nelson County, KY.

The Basil Hayden Home recorded in Historic Nelson County Its Towns and People on pages 211 & 212: The house is located East of Bardstown near Woodlawn, Kentucky, and is owned by Mr. & Mrs. J. S. Roche. Deed Book 3, page 77, Nelson County Clerk's Office shows that Basil Hayden, received title to this land on December 3, 1785. The house was built around 1788 it is one and one half stories and has seven rooms and two halls. The house is well preserved and adds a tone of pioneer dignity to the community.

5 August 1791 Marriage Consent, I understand that Consent of Parents is requisite for obtaining a Licence for Marriage this is therefore to let you know that Stanislaus Hayden has my Consent to marry my daughter Henrietta Hilton. signed William Hilton, Basil Hayden.
