Hi profile manager, Can you please rewrite the Biography to be readable? Questioning the name and how it's written, the "Old William" is a one time phrase used by the author of the article. According to the article (see images) "A Voyage to Brazil ..." his name is "M. William Hawkins." His mother, Joan, father's name I believe is "Walter" and not "... da. of John or William Amadas of Launceston, Cornw. ..."

"For the Hawkins family was of fairly recent origin, famous for its spirit of high adventure rather than for its antiquity. The first ancestor, William Hawkins, sea captain and ship owner of Plymouth, emerges from obscurity in the reign of Henry VIII, voyaging to Brazil in his own ship, the Paul, bringing glory and wealth to his home town."
