He passed away Nov 12, 2011 in Scottsdale, Arzonia.
He had three (3) brothers, Rudy, Randy,& Jerry who passed as one (1) year of age[1] and one (1) sister, Joan Maxine.
Jim was married twice.
His first wife was from Germany whom he met during the Korean War. She was beautiful, and her name was Charolette. They had two (2) children: Rae & Lizzie. Lizzie was as cute as could be. They divorced, and Jim moved to Scotsdale and married Lydia Coppola.[2]
Jim lived in his father's household in 1930 & 1940.[3][4]
== OBITUARY == HAWKINS, JAMES H. JR. - aged 82 of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Maryville, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was born at Tellico Plains, TN, to Lula Atkins Hawkins and Harry Hawkins, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1947, and was co-captain of the undefeated 1946 football team. He was an outstanding player on the baseball and basketball teams as well. He attended Maryville College where he also excelled on the football, baseball and basketball teams. He served four years in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his wife Lydia Coppola Hawkins who passed away six months ago, his infant brother Jerry, and his brother-in-law Walter R. Whitt. He is survived by his son Rae of Colorado Springs, CO, granddaughter Sadie Rae Hawkins and two great-grandsons, all of Colorado Springs, CO, step-daughters Lisa Muzyk of Scottsdale, AZ, and Christina Davis and husband Rick of Taylor, Texas, sister Joan Whitt of Morristown, TN; brothers Rudy Hawkins and wife Dorothy of Maryville, TN and Randy Hawkins and wife Carolyn of Danville, Kentucky as well as several nieces and nephews.
