Robert Henry Hatty was born in 1896 in Koo-Wee-Rup, Victoria, Australia, the son of Jessie Augusta Sophia (Brown) Hatty and William John Hatty.^[1]

He married Helen Margaret King in 1919 in Victoria.^[2] Their children were:

• Jack Hatty

Robert died in 1949 in Tottenham, Victoria, aged 52 years.^[3]
