Ebenezer Hatch was born the 29th of November, 1696, at Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the son of Jonathan Hatch Jr. & Abigail (Weeks) Hatch.[1]
Ebenezer's marriage to Lydia Hatch is recorded at Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts Bay, the 25th of October, 1720.[2]
Children found in the Falmouth vital records:[3]
It is unknown at this time when or where Ebenezer or Lydia died. The Find a Grave memorial for this Ebenezer has the death date, location & burial information for Eddy Hatch. (See below.) This memorial also has a Jeremiah Hatch connected as a child of Ebenezer. This is false. There is no birth record for a Jeremiah & Ebenezer's family is well documented. The other issue with the memorial, is the lineage. The memorials are connected to create this lineage: Ebenezer, Jonathan Jr. & an unrelated William & Thomas. This is clearly wrong, as Jonathan Hatch Jr. is the son of Jonathan Hatch Sr., the son of Thomas.[4]
There is no known death date, location or burial for Ebenezer.
"Ebay" as a nickname for this Ebenezer, is a corruption of "Eday" or Eddy Hatch, the son of Benjamin Hatch & Alice Eddy.[5] The previous death date & location of the 19th of July, 1781 at Willington, CT, belongs to Eddy Hatch, not Ebenezer.[6] Eddy Hatch has a memorial on Find a Grave. [7]
There is now a Find A Grave site for Ebenezer Hatch, parents Jonathan and Abigail, wives Lydia & Hannah. Records birth as November 29, 1696, in Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts (Bay Colony). Death date is unknown, but FAG reads death occurred in Willington, Tolland County, Connecticut, British Colonial America. This is the death place of Eddy Hatch, so probably not the death place of Ebenezer. Burial place is unknown. Find A Grave: Memorial #10312553[8]

I uploaded the grave stone and data from "Find a grave" and put it on Eddy Hatch's profile. If you want to change or add anything to Ebenezer it's fine with me and thank you for your patience. I'll admit I'm more interested in stories and I don't always "get it right" . I'm not sure how this happened, I probably thought they were the same person and the names mixed somehow ?

Why did you delete the notes about Eddy Hatch, his memorial & the confusion with Ebenezer's memorial? That was a lot of work & it was going to help clarify the issues for other researchers.
I also noticed that you've changed the setting for the gravestone photo of Eddy Hatch to "private", even though you've left a comment. No will be able to read your comment if you keep the image private.

I'm sorry. I saw what you referred to and thought it would be a good idea to eliminate it from Ebenezer never thinking I was "erasing" the information. The software probably caused the "private" from the edit. Anyway I think you know much more about this. Would you be willing to change Ebenezer's profile? I'm fine with you doing that and anything else you wish, I respect your intentions and knowledge.

Thank you. I can certainly put back the info. about the confusion between Eddy & Ebenezer, but since the photo is one you've uploaded, you'll have to change the privacy settings. Having never done that myself, I can not guide you.
As to allowing me to do "anything" I "wish" with the profile, while my intentions are good, I too can miss things. In fact, I incorrectly posted the marriage month for Ebenezer & Lydia as July, when it's actually October. Please keep me on my toes.
Best wishes,
Nace
