Elijah Hastings was a soldier during the Revolutionary War, serving as a Private in Lt. Eli Parker's detachment of Minutemen, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775. [1] [2]

Elijah Hastings was born on June 6, 1753 in Hatfield, Hampshire, Province of Massachusetts Bay, son of Hopestill Hastings (1718–1766) and Lydia Frary (~1722–>1773).

Elijah (28) and Jerusha Billings (18) were married in 1782 in Amherst, Hampshire.

Jerusha was born on November 3, 1763 in Amherst, Hampshire. She was the daughter of John Billings and Jerusha (Waite) Billings.

Their son was Elijah Hastings (1798– ).

Elijah died on October 4, 1803 in Amherst, Hampshire, Massachusetts, United States, aged 50.

He was buried in West Cemetery, Amherst, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. [3]
