Elizabeth was the daughter of Frederick & Margaret Hartzoe. Supposdly, she and her future husband, Plikard Detrich Siler came to America on the same ship about 1741. One source said the name of the ship was "Two Sisters" and family tradition has it that Elizabeth's father was the captain of the ship. Elizabeth married Plikard Detrich Siler in about 1744 in Pennsylvania. After leaving Pennsylvania, they came to Virginia. From there they moved to North Carolina where they are buried.

Children: sons Philip, Plikard, Jr., Weimer, John, Frederick, Jacob and daughters Elizabeth, Esther, Mary "Polly", and Margaret (The A.O. Siler book contains no info on the daughters)

Research Notes

It appears that Philip was the first child born in 1745 and probably Jacob the last in 1770. This would have made Elizabeth around age 43 for birth of last child.

The Elizabeth (Teague) attached on Plikard and Elizabeth's Find A Grave (and listed in Family Search) probably belongs to one of their sons and is not their daughter but granddaughter.

Also on FaG and Family Search- attached daughter Sarah is probably not theirs as she was born in Georgia.

Burial

Plikard & Elizabeth were buried in the Rocky River Baptist Church Cemetery about 4 Miles North of Siler City, Siler City, Chatham County, North Carolina, USA. [1]Find A Grave: Memorial #5427748
