Biography
Moll Harris is a part of US Black heritage.
Moll was born sometime prior to 1712, when she was bequeathed in the will of Robert Harris to his second wife, Anne, along with two other slaves, Peter and Jenny.
- "Item I Give to my loving wife Anne Harris Three Negroes by name Peter, Moll & Jenny & their increase to her & her heirs for Ever. I do likewise Give to my sd [said] wife the Remainder of the money that I have in the hands of sd [said] [William?] Perry. And I do further Give to my sd [said] wife all the household stuff in general that belongs to the houses where I now live as likewise all the Stocks of Cattle, Sheep, Hogs, horses & Mares, & all other [moveable?] whatsoever that belongs to the Houses or Plantation Provided she will pay her Two Sons George & Stephen Fuller their portions that is due to them without claiming any other part of my Estate besides what I have already given her in this my Will."[1]
