Biography

Horatio Nelson Hall was born 17 Feb 1812 in Canada.

He immigrated to america in 1841

In 1850, Horatio was 38 and living in Hinesburgh, Chittenden, Vermont with his wife, Ruth C 38 and there four children Joseph 13, Jemima 7, Hannah 2 and Ruth A 0. He was working as a Blacksmith doing Miscellaneous repair services. He owned property valued at 500 dollars.[1]

In 1870, Horatio was 57 and living in Hesper, Winneshiek, Iowa, whare he worked as a blacksmith. Also living in the home was his wife Ruth C age 20 and three children Ruth A, age 20, Elizabeth A, age 10 and Nathan N, age 8.[2]

In 1880, Horatio was living in Dayton, Phillips, Kansas with his wife Ruth, age 64 and Elizabeth A. Hall, age 20 was working as a dressmaker. He was employed as a farmer.[3] continued to live there on 1 Mar 1885[4]

On 22 Jun 1880, his farm was listed in Dayton, Phillips, Kansas. He owend the farm with 8 tilled ac., with 152 unimproved acres. The farm was valued at $400 dollars[5],

In 1900, he was 88 and living in the home of his son George that consisted of his wife and there two children. He resided in the united stated for 59 years and was now nationalized.[6]

He was buried in the Friends Cemetery located in Newberg, Yamhill County, Oregon[7][8].
