Mary (Haines) Cannell migrated from Wiltshire, England to South Australia on Trafalgar in 1850.
Mary emigrated with her father James, mother Hannah and six younger siblings on the Trafalgar, which arriving in South Australia on 30 March 1850.

Mary married Thomas Rackham Cannell (abt.1829-1897) on 16 Sep 1856 at the Wesleyan Chapel in Steventon (now Tea Tree Gully, South Australia).

The marriage notice described Mary of Steventon and Thomas of Hermitage.

Thomas and Mary moved to Kapunda district where they had thirteen children together:[1]
Mary died twenty years exactly after Thomas, aged 81 years on 29 Oct 1917.

Mar was buried with Thomas in the Methodist section of Nhill cemetery Victoria.
