Biography

Herbert Hadley is Notable.

Herbert Spencer Hadley was born on Feb 20, 1872 in Olathe, Kansas and was the son of Major John Milton Hadley and Harriet (Beach) Jones.

He attended the University of Kansas where he received an A.B. in 1892. He earned his law degree from Northwestern University with first honors in 1894. He was an American lawyer and a Republican Party politician from St.Louis, Missouri.

In 1901 he married Agnes LEE ^[1]

From 1905 to 1909 he was the Missouri Attorney General and he successfully prosecuted Standard Oil Company for violating Missouri antitrust law.

In 1908 he was elected the 32nd Governor of Missouri, serving one term from 1909 to 1913.

He died of heart disease on Dec 1, 1927 in St.Louis, Missouri ^[2] and was buried at the Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, Missouri. ^[3]
