Elise I know you are relatively new to Military and War. Thought I would send this to you, and see just what you are doing in the project.
Hi Elise
This is the time for the annual 2024 check in with members of the Military and War Project. Have you been active during the last six months in the Military and War Project? Note that it is a requirement to respond to the Military and War Project Check-ins. Please respond to this message by clicking the reply button below this message, to post your answer. I look forward to hearing from you..
Yes, I have been active within the last six months, although less in the last couple due to school. I have been working on the USS Turner profiles specifically.
World War II does not have a badge, but here is the Project Page https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:World_War_II
If you look toward the bottom of the page there are a list of Space pages created for World War II.
I just noticed you added a correction to the information about William John Davidson Sr. He is my father, and I could not pick up, from the documents, what changes you made. However, I did not in some material that Warner is his parent. I, Warner, am his son. His father was William Scott Davidson (1831-1906). His mother was Jane Mariah (Warner) Davidson (1835-1890. I am Rev. T Warner Davidson (b.1931). I was listed as "deceased" in one recent record - somewhat exaggerated.
Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.
We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
Welcome Elise! I noticed that you had added a tag for Munkacs district of Ukraine. Do you have ancestry from there? I had to give you a warm welcome when I saw all those Minnesotans in your branches, lol. My mom's parents were from Steele and Watonwan/Blue Earth counties.
Yes, I do. My 2nd great grandparents Anton Pfeifer and Barbara Vomacsko immigrated from Nemetkucsova (Kuchava) in Munkacs district to Duluth MN in the 1920s. They are my brick wall line! I'm not familiar with Watonwan, but I have relatives who live in Owatonna and Mankato :)

Since the profile was unsourced, I added the Minnesota Death Index record as a source, as well as a link to the FamilySearch page.
