Sverre Magnus was the only child of King Håkon Unge and princess Rikissa. He lived with his grandfather in Bergen after his mother returned to Sweden after Håkon's death, and was known there as junker Sverre.
He died the winter of 1260/61.
Sverre remained in Norway with his grandfather. He does not seem to have been considered an heir to the throne, as Haakon the Young's younger brother, Magnus, was hailed as king already in 1257. Sverre died young, in 1261.
