In 1716, Joseph Fowler, aged about 16 years, accompanied his father’s family to Mamaroneck, New York. The History of the Fowlers by Christine Fowler 1950 states Hannah was the daughter of Ammon Guion of New Rochelle, Westchester, NY.
There may have been more than one Ammon, but I have been able to find only one - son of Louis Guion who came to New Rochelle NY from France in 1687. The Guion family were French Hugenots. A Hannah was not mentioned or recorded in the will of Louis Guion or Ammon or Daniel Lawson (who would have been a grandfather if she was a natural child of Ammon), but a Gregory Guion, brother of Louis, did have a daughter Hannah born in 1698. This is the most likely, as this was the only Hannah on record, and she was the right age to become a wife of Joseph Fowler as he was born in 1701.
